Maintenance is a very hands on job, so if you have a background in any kind of maintenance or are just a keen DIY’er then this may be the role for you. As a non-profit organisation it means that we often keep costs down where we can this may be by encouraging parents and families to come in on maintenance days of by shopping around for the best deal. We usually do one or two maintenance days a year and this would be your gob to organise and discuss with the manager what jobs need doing around the grounds and buying all of the things that we may need to do the jobs.

The role of the Maintenance Co coordinator:

  • arrange PAT testing and ensure it is carried out
  • organise maintenance and gardening days
  • arrange gas safety check annually
  • arrange for repairs to the building and equipment to be carried out
  • felicitate renewal of planning permission when due
  • ensure all grounds are safe for staff and children
  • communicate with staff and chair about jobs that needing to be completed

This job will be perfect for someone that has a background in building maintenance, garden maintenance or another trade or knows contacts from different trades.
