Vice chairperson

 

Vice Chair person is a supportive role within the committee with the hope that the vice chair will progress to the chair the following academic year. The vice chair person must manage the committee meetings when the Chair is absent and keep the meetings on track and to the point.

The role of the Vice Chairperson:

  • To assist the chair person with overseeing the committee
  • To assist the chair person to work with the secretary on agendas
  • To assist the chair person with reports on group events
  • To assist the chair person supporting the treasurer
  • To assist the chair person with meetings with the staff to ensure the OFSTED requirements are me

 

 

This is a great role if you are a social person and are confident in your ability to guide a group. This is a lot of commitment as you will be the second port of call for most other members of the committee and the manager of Little Oaks. You must also be able to come to all committee meetings (these happen usually once every half term) and hopefully stay on the committee for the following academic year to take the Chairman role.
