The Little Oaks Pre-School Committee is managed and run by volunteers – mostly parents! The committee members offer a little of their time, to help ensure that such a wonderful Early Years Education provider can continue to run. As a non-profit organisation it is crucial that there is a volunteer committee working to support the management of Little Oaks Pre-School. The committee are a friendly group, bringing together a range of experiences and expertise to help Little Oaks to run smoothly.
At half termly meetings the committee discuss the company incorporation, with a Chair, Supervisor and Treasurer’s report. They discuss and look to improve and keep all aspects of the pre-school running; including fee-collection, fund-raising ideas, marketing opportunities, general supplies and maintenance.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to get more involved with the pre-school that your child attends. Offering your help can be incredibly rewarding. It’s a chance to meet fellow parents in the area and have some fun. Everybody is welcome, even if you only enlist as a ‘helper’, there’s no obligation.
Fund raising is a core role for committee members in order to ensure fee levels stay low and high standards can be gained in the areas of building and maintenance, as well as equipment and activities for the children.
